After the summer vote, the alumni board gave the new delegation its blessing and the class of 1992 members thought they had finally sent the opposition to the grave. They insisted that they would continue with all the pre-initiation rites outside the crypt, if necessary, until alumni changed their minds. During that time, the young Bonesmen remained strong and convinced six of the women to join their group. They refused to acknowledge the new group of initiates, saying the tap was void and illegal, and would not open the doors of the sarcophagus for weeks. Immediately after the minor rebellion, the alumni board changed the locks on the society's "tomb" - it's official meeting place on Yale's campus. The controversy started last April, when class of 1991 Bonesmen tapped seven women after waiting fruitlessly for an alumni board decision on the issue of admitting women to the society. Based on that vote last summer, the eight-member alumni board of Bonespeople gave current Bonesmen the go-ahead to initiate the Boneswomen this fall. The special meeting is a last ditch attempt by those who filed the suit to overturn the 368 to 320 vote in favor of admitting women. Rather than go to court where society members may have had to reveal the group's deepest and darkest secrets, members agreed instead to decide the matter once and for all at a special membership meeting later this month. The injunction was part of a lawsuit the eight alums filed objecting to the Skull and Bones organization-wide vote last summer.

Though the school first admitted women in 1969, at Yale's oldest social club, the Skull and Bones society, the women's movement has just begun. Since this organization is basically a college fraternity there is only one rational response.Women won the gender war at Yale University 22 years ago. Īccording to their statements Skull and Bones is dry, meaning no alcohol allowed. It has been claimed that Skull and Bones has the remains of Native American firebrand, Geronimo, and some of his descendants have sued the society. Members are sworn to silence about the proceedings, which apparently include dining with Hitler's old silverware - an effective means of convincing them to keep mum about it.

Alternatively, the successful political advancement of so many former members of this small society, just goes to show how incestuous and elitist the American political system really is. Bush were both members, it is clear that Skull & Bones controls both sides of the American political debate and manipulates a mirage of debate between the left and right to keep the masses distracted while they secretly rule the world. It is a popular subject for conspiracy theories which allege it is some sort of secret society for hand-picking and grooming future world leaders while initiating them into service to the New World Order through Satanic or occult rituals, but, (and this can be said of any Ivy League organisation) only the first half is true. Skull and Bones is a club at Yale University, occasionally accused by conspiracy theorists of having links with the Freemasons.
